Some history on Fenno Sport :
Apart from former Marimekko designer Vuokko - the closest brand to Marimekko to spring from the excellent Finnish textile tradition.In revolutionary (mid century) modern graphic patterns and textile print quality Fenno was equal to Marimekko, using daring pattern designs and bold colors. Whereas Marimekko managed to survive thanks to a much larger range of products (home ware, bed linens, etc.), Fenno Sport could not maintain its production in Finland facing competition from low-cost countries and therefore disappeared as a brand. As it was smaller and less known outside Finland, Fenno pieces are by definition rarer than Marimekko.
